In fact, a quality floor installation is invisible; all you see is the floor. An installation supports the flooring, it’s not meant to play a distinct role; it should fade into the background, much like an extra in a film.

When we were putting the estimate for your floor together, we measured the area where the flooring was to go. We use those measurements to make a plan of work for the job. This includes a rough layout of the flooring, where the seams should be; if carpeting, how the nap will lay; for tile, a diagrams of the pattern and notes of tile cuts. It will also note where there is a concern about the new floor resulting in a door not swinging closed or a dishwasher not fitting back into its cubby.

If you are having hardwood flooring installed, it may be delivered before installation day. Wood swells and contracts relative to the humidity and temperature of its environment. The reason it is delivered early is to let it acclimate to the environment where it will be installed. This is done to avoid splitting and checking when it is permanently affixed.

Our crew will start on time and clean up after themselves when they are done. You’ll be asked to inspect the installation and to make notes of any adjustments needed; these will be done immediately.
